Steadfast Love

Psalm of Hesed (Hebrew- steadfast love)

Early in the morning

I will seek You,

Throughout the day

And the watches of the night.

May my heart be ever 

Turned toward You,

Mindful of Your Presence - 

You are by my side.

Let songs of love and mercy flow,

Prayers full of passion,

Living, breathing worship

As You consume me with Fire.

I ask for Shekina always,

As Moses asked of You.

Show me Your glory!

I want to hide myself in You.

(Exodus 33:12 - 34:9)

In the presence of my enemies

I will feast at Your table;

In the midst of suffering

I will experience abundant peace.

(Psalm 23)

Nothing on Earth or in Heaven

Can separate me from Your love;

I am held and kept by One

Whom death could not conquer.

(Romans 8:31-39)

You alone stand victorious

Over principalities and powers,

Kings and prime ministers,

Dictators and presidents.

(Psalm 2, Isaiah 9, Revelation 19)

You are the Creator;

You will have the last word.

That word will be,

“I have loved you with an everlasting love.”

(Jeremiah 31:3)
